Getting Started
How do I record a dream?
Open Dreamlusive and tap the + button on the home screen. You can either type your dream description or tap the microphone icon to record by voice. Your device will transcribe your voice into text automatically.
How does AI analysis work?
After recording a dream, tap Analyse on the dream detail screen. Our AI processes your dream content to identify symbols, themes, emotional patterns, and potential meanings. Results appear within a few seconds. Free users get 3 analyses; unlimited analyses require a premium subscription.
What is the Nightly Ritual?
The Nightly Ritual is a short pre-sleep routine that primes your mind for dream recall. It includes setting a sleep intention and answering a few reflective prompts. Completing it consistently improves dream vividness and recall over time.
Account & Data
Do I need an account to use the app?
No. Dreamlusive works fully in anonymous mode — no sign-up required. Your dreams are stored locally on your device. Signing in with Google or Apple enables cloud backup and cross-device sync.
How do I back up my dreams?
Sign in with Google or Apple, then go to Settings → Backup & Restore and enable cloud backup. Your data will sync automatically whenever you're connected to the internet.
I reinstalled the app and lost my dreams. Can I recover them?
If you were signed in with Google or Apple and had cloud backup enabled, your dreams will restore automatically when you sign back in. Anonymous accounts do not support recovery after reinstall — this is why we recommend signing in if you want to protect your data.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Backup & Restore → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent. See the Account Deletion page for full details.
Premium & Subscriptions
What does premium include?
- Unlimited AI dream analyses (with fair usage limits)
- AI-generated dream imagery
- Advanced pattern analytics and insights
- Priority support
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through your device's app store. To cancel:
- iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Dreamlusive → Cancel
- Android: Google Play → Subscriptions → Dreamlusive → Cancel
Cancelling stops future charges. Your premium access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by the App Store or Google Play according to their respective refund policies. We don't process refunds directly, but if you have an issue, contact us and we'll do our best to help.
AI Features
Why didn't my analysis work?
A few possible reasons:
- You may have used your free analysis credits — upgrade to premium for unlimited access
- You may be in a cooldown period between analyses — wait a moment and try again
- The AI service may be temporarily unavailable — try again in a few minutes
- Your internet connection may be interrupted
The AI generated something inappropriate. What should I do?
We implement content filtering, but AI systems aren't perfect. If you encounter inappropriate content, delete the dream entry and contact us at dreamlusive@zenzero.app with a brief description so we can improve our filters.
Is my dream data used to train AI models?
No. Your dream content is sent to OpenAI for processing when you request an analysis, but OpenAI does not use API data to train their models. Your dreams are never stored on our servers after processing is complete.
Technical Issues
The app is crashing or behaving unexpectedly
Try the following steps:
- Force-close the app and reopen it
- Check for app updates in the App Store or Google Play
- Restart your device
- If the issue persists, contact us with your device model and OS version
Voice recording isn't working
Make sure Dreamlusive has microphone permission in your device settings. On iOS go to Settings → Dreamlusive → Microphone. On Android go to Settings → Apps → Dreamlusive → Permissions → Microphone.
Notifications aren't arriving
Check that notifications are enabled for Dreamlusive in your device settings. On iOS, go to Settings → Notifications → Dreamlusive. On Android, go to Settings → Apps → Dreamlusive → Notifications.
